What is Disk Rot? 

Disk Rot is the new bootleg sub-label from Refuse Films, created to showcase shot-on-video movies, underground obscurities, and physical media premieres in an exclusive run of 666 copies. 

Each Disk Rot release is duplicated individually in a run of 666 copies. These discs are not factory-pressed for a mass-market audience. They are burned Blu-ray discs (BD-R), produced within a punk rock DIY ethos to exist, circulate, and endure on physical media outside industrial replication. Every disc is marked “For bootlegging purposes only.” 

Disk Rot Series 2 is presented in xeroxed DIY photocopy sleeves, with a filmmaker biography on the reverse and an obi strip listing special features, hand-numbered and assigned a release number.

A-Bo The Humonkey (2008) Movie Synopsis:

In the small town of Mossyrock, MA, a half-man, half-ape (humonkey) was found in a wicker basket. Beloved and sheltered by his small town, A-Bo is transferred to Boston when a liberal college student decides it is his duty to obtain A-Bo's human and civil rights.

Henrietta & Her Dismal Display of Affection (2020) Movie Synopsis:

After a lusty sexual affair leaves a family divided and a father devastated, Henrietta "Alice McAllister" must do what she can to hold on to what little stability her family has left. Along the way, the family encounters a diverse and colourful cast of burnouts and hippies, deviants and rejects, thrown mercilessly into the mysterious and maddening misfortunes of Reedville, Texas.

Special Needs Revolt! (2024) Movie Synopsis: 

In a future dystopia, a man with Down syndrome joins a rebellion against America's cruel dictator who has put all people with disabilities back into institutions.
